Organic In Style

Everyone has a different idea of what makes something beautiful. The dictionary says that beauty is “the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind.”  For example, my husband likes my freckles (which I could never stand) and to him, they are beautiful.  Mothers think their children are beautiful, even when going through that awkward phase in the early teenage years.  The point is, beauty means something different for each person.  When talking about beauty in terms of outward appearance, however, we are usually talking about what makes up the physical appearance.  

For the purpose of the next few posts, called the Organic Beauty Series, I’m going to say that physical beauty is affected by the amount of effort we put into taking care of ourselves.  This may include what we eat, how we dress, what cosmetics we use, and how we style our hair.  Therefore, I’d like to address those aspects from an organic approach.  In other words, I’m going to look at ways that we can enhance our outward beauty and how we can do it organically.

For the next few days I will cover a different area each day:

• Nails
